Franchising has grown and matured in size and the sophistication and the capabilities of both franchisor management and franchisees has also grown. According to FRANdata , a well-regarded research firm in franchising, in 2019, fifty-four (54) percent of franchises were independently owned and operated by multi-unit franchisees.
